Governor-General of Pakistan from 1948 to 1951.
Khwaja Nazimuddin hailed from Dhaka. He graduated from the Aligarh Muslim
University and later received a degree from Cambridge. From 1929 to
1934 he was Minister of Education of Bengal and the Minister for the
Interior of Bengal form 1937 to 1941. He was a member of All India Muslim
League. He served as Chief Minster of East Pakistan from 1947 to 1948,
when he succeeded M.A. Jinnah as Governor-General of Pakistan. He held
this office until September 1951, when he became Prime Minister of Pakistan.
