ISLAMABAD, Mar 10 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari said the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are a beacon of light and the only solution to the challenges faced by nations of the world. In a message on the occasion of Interfaith Milad Conference to Chairman Tehrik-e-Akhuwat-e-Islami and Interfaith Dialogue Committee Patron Allama Inayat Ali Shakir, the President said in every era, man has remained attached to some religion that preached respect for humanity.

“It is therefore imperative that moral values common between all religions must be fostered,” he added. He said Islam believes that the murder of one person is the murder of the entire humanity. “It is paramount that we all must strive to achieve harmony,” he added.

President Zardari said the present government is endeavouring to achieve and fulfill the dream of its Shaheed leader Benazir Bhutto, who had the same vision. The President also stressed on ulema to work for the peace and stability of the country by condemning terrorism and religious extremism.
