Ambassador of Italy pays farewell call on President Zardari
Mr. Vicenzo Prati, Ambassador of Italy, today paid farewell call on President Asif Ali Zardari here at Aiwan-e-Sadr today.
The President appreciated his diplomatic services in brining the two countries further closer during his stint as Ambassador.
He said that Pakistan values its relations with Italy bilaterally as well as within European Union. He said that with our shared views on many regional and global issues, Pakistan desires close working relationship with Italy on all common issues. He said that we are keen to further strengthen our economic equation with Italy and look forward to continued support of Italy in the EU Parliament and the European Council for early completion of the institutional formalities so that the concessions for the EU's Autonomous Trade Preferences Package for Pakistan becomes operational.
The President wished the outgoing ambassador good luck in his future life and assignments.
Mr. Vicenzo Prati thanked the President for the support he was extended by the Government during his tenure as ambassador.
